In the spirit of the holidays, I am launching the “A-Z Fall Type Hunt Instagram Contest.” It’s an Instagram challenge to find all 26 letters of the alphabet somewhere out in the wild during the month of November. Participants will receive a daily email as to what letter to find next. Here’s how it works:
1. Sign-up for the contest. It’s FREE!
2. Beginning November 5, check your email to find the letter of the day. (We’re not going in alphabetical order so no cheating!) Grab your smartphone and fire up Instagram.
3. Using the Instagram app, snap a photo of your awesome letter find.
4. Tag your photo with #masteringtypeAZ and upload your photo (DON”T FORGET THE HASHTAG!). Please note that photos submitted for this contest cannot be posted from a private Instagram account since we will not be able to view them.
5. For a chance to win, you must submit the proper letter for all 26 days.
3 randomly chosen winners will be announced by December 5, 2012 and receive these fabulous prizes:
- A copy of Mastering Type: The Essential Guide to Typography for Print and Web Design signed by the author
- A set of letter lollipops (spelling the word TYPE, of course)
- An original screen print or letterpress print from 55his.com.
